Friday Links Roundup

Friday Links Roundup: Week 2

Happy Friday everyone! It’s that time of the week again (finally) and I hope you all reading get an extended weekend (no, I personally don’t for those of you glaring at your screen right now). But, regardless, some links should help jumpstart your weekend!

For those of you with a special someone and quite a bit of spare pocket money (say, for instance, you were lucky enough to get a piece of that Powerball pie?), you can start making plans for the Hallmark holiday known as Valentine’s Day. In fact, People Will Be Spending Valentine’s Day on the “Harry Potter” Set. I don’t know what people, but some people. Some very lucky, evil people.

Then again, you might be trying to escape the cold and going somewhere…cold. But with live theatre! Indeed, Hamilton has taken Broadway (and Tumblr) by storm, meaning tickets are a bit hard to get ahold of. So, if you’re stuck out in the cold, Travel + Leisure has put together a list of Where to Go if You Can’t Get Tickets to Hamilton. Honestly, go even if you get the tickets!

To Be Read Stack

Then again, if you’re being dragged along to destinations unknown, I know many people will find themselves engrossed in their latest read. If you’re off with family, that’s bound to cause some issues. In fact, It’s My Vacation and I’ll Read if I Want To resonated with me in such a way I couldn’t help but share it with you all. I’d wager to say it was my favorite read of the week.

But, to go on vacation, you’ve got to travel. With gas prices dropping, a lot of the focus on electric cars has dropped. However, Wired featured How GM Beat Tesla to the First True Mass-Market Electric Car and it’s certainly an interesting read. If you’re flying instead, though, be sure to check out Fortune’s article about the Airlines with the Best Wi-Fi.

And, of course, finally, I would be remiss to not mention the passing of one of the great actors of our time.

We’ll miss you, Alan.
